I know your Problem for sure - broke at least 3 Rapidograph nibs in not more than 2 years - continuous using You should try a pen called PITT Artist Pen (produced here by "Faber Castell") gives an equal line, much less expensive but therefore no refill function, but never crushed one of this yet *g*
